Lyndsey Roush has spent most of her life infusing young people with artistic energy and this summer she cannot wait to bring some of that joy and passion to The Creation District! Lyndsey is currently working as the Elementary Art Teacher at Fairfield Suison School District. Prior to this position, Lyndsey served for two years as the Youth Development Director at Tubman House where she led a dynamic program each day that included weekly leadership workshops and art therapy. Lyndsey holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology, a Bachelor’s in Art, and has formerly worked as an educator for children and youth with individualized learning needs. Lyndsey also worked as an arts instructor for Crocker Art Museum. She is full of energy and excited to bring her artistic experience and love for children to The Creation District in the form of two incredible and unique camps this summer!


Addison Duane is incredibly passionate about all things books and cannot wait to dive into literacy projects this summer! Addison received her bachelors in Sociology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where her love for books and exposing children to literacy grew even more. After college she moved to Colorado Springs, and earned a masters in Education, Curriculum, and Instruction from the University of Colorado, Denver. Today Addison, or Ms. Duane as you’ll hear her fan club call her, works as a 6th grade teacher at PS7 Elementary school where she is loved and adored by every child she comes into contact with. She and her students are constantly talking about stories, reading together and swapping book recommendations. She is eagerly looking forward to this summer adventure that is sure to be filled with lots of fun, laughter, and of course, literacy!


Grace Loescher takes loads of joy in developing The Creation District and serving as its Creative Director, but in the mean time, she is not able to resist getting her hands dirty and having some artsy fun leading a few camps this summer! Grace graduated from Rollins College with a bachelors degree in Studio Art and Theatre Arts. She has loads of experience leading workshops, teaching classes, and running camps mostly revolving around the arts in one way or another. In addition to her work at The Creation District, Grace serves as the Program Director for Tubman House as well as teaching art and theatre to high school students attending the CollegeTrack enrichment program. In her spare time, Grace can often be found working on life size sculptures, climbing mountains, hitting the frontlines of a protest, and hanging out with kids of all ages to gain wisdom from them and share her passion for play and zest for life. Grace looks forward to a summer full of messy play and lots and lots of laughter and fun!


 

Owen Corey is bursting with excitement to spend a week this summer doing what he loves most, sharing his passion for theatre with the future actors and actresses of the world. Owen graduated from Fairfield University with a Bachelors in Theatre Arts where he had experience designing and building sets, directing shows, and starring as the lead role in many performances. Owen currently works as the Drama Teacher and an Instructional Aid at PS7 Middle School, where he is directs quarterly plays for his students to be a part of. Owen is incredibly excited to share his love for the stage with an eager new group of Sacramento’s young thespians!


 

Gabby Schiavenato is eager to share her passion for theatre at The Creation District this summer! Gabby graduated from Rollins with a double major in music and theatre. She is currently serving as a Youth development Coach at Tubman House where she consistently brings her sense of humor and positive attitude to the young people she works with each day. When Gabby is not at Tubman House, playing her banjo, or hiking with her dog, she can be found coaching lacrosse at Christian Brothers High School. Gabby is looking forward to more fun and games with a new group of creators this summer!
